CONTAINER CARE
Make your containers last. Make your products last.
How to Prep Your Containers:
-
Use warm soapy water to remove any product residue.
(Tip: A bottle brush works wonders - and we have plenty available!) -
Rinse thoroughly — especially around pumps and lids — to remove all soap.
-
You can sanitize with boiling water, white vinegar, or rubbing alcohol depending on the container type.
(Glass and stainless steel tolerate high heat. Avoid boiling any plastics.) -
Let everything dry upside down.
No moisture inside the container — water can cause bacteria growth.
Why It Matters
A clean, dry container keeps your refills fresh and safe.
It protects the integrity of the product inside (especially skincare + cleaning concentrates) and helps everything last longer.
WHAT TO AVOID
Mixing products
Even if they’re similar, different formulas can react or separate. Start with a clean slate every time.
Trapped water
Water dilutes products and can introduce bacteria. Always refill with a fully dry container.
Pro Tips
Bring ANY clean, dry container: mason jar, old lotion bottle, even a salsa jar.
If you’re reusing something with a pump or dropper, clean the inside of the pump straw too.
Keep a small stash of clean, ready-to-fill containers at home so refilling is always easy.
